WHO IS ELLYSE PERRY ?
Ellyse Perry was born in the suburb of Wahroonga, in Sydney's Upper North Shore. She was the youngest of three children, and grew up in a family that loved sports. Her father, Mark Perry, was a former first-class cricketer, and her mother, Kathy Perry, was a former basketball player who represented Australia at the 1982 Commonwealth Games. Perry began playing cricket at the age of 7, and soccer at the age of 5. She was a talented athlete from a young age, and quickly became recognized for her natural abilities. She played cricket for the Barker College First XI, and soccer for the Beecroft Football Club. In 2007, at the age of just 16, Perry made her debut for the Australian women's cricket team in an ODI against New Zealand. She was an immediate success, scoring 25 runs and taking 3 wickets in her first game. She continued to impress in the following matches, and quickly established herself as a key player in the team.
