WHO IS ELLYSE PERRY ?

 Ellyse Perry was born in the suburb of Wahroonga, in Sydney's Upper North Shore. She was the youngest of three children, and grew up in a family that loved sports. Her father, Mark Perry, was a former first-class cricketer, and her mother, Kathy Perry, was a former basketball player who represented Australia at the 1982 Commonwealth Games.

Perry began playing cricket at the age of 7, and soccer at the age of 5. She was a talented athlete from a young age, and quickly became recognized for her natural abilities. She played cricket for the Barker College First XI, and soccer for the Beecroft Football Club.

In 2007, at the age of just 16, Perry made her debut for the Australian women's cricket team in an ODI against New Zealand. She was an immediate success, scoring 25 runs and taking 3 wickets in her first game. She continued to impress in the following matches, and quickly established herself as a key player in the team.

Perry's soccer career also took off around the same time. She played for the Sydney FC team in the W-League, and was soon spotted by the Australian national team. In 2011, she made her debut for the Matildas, and was soon playing in major international tournaments.

Despite her success in both sports, Perry faced a difficult choice. It became increasingly difficult to balance her commitments to both teams, and she was faced with the decision of which sport to pursue. After much consideration, she decided to focus on cricket.

Perry's cricket career continued to flourish, and she quickly became one of the world's best female cricketers. In 2013, she became the first player to score 1000 runs and take 100 wickets in T20 international cricket. In 2015, she became the first Australian woman to take 100 wickets in one-day international cricket. She continued to break records and achieve milestones, and in 2019, she was named as the ICC Women's Cricketer of the Decade.

Off the field, Perry has been an advocate for gender equality and has worked to promote women's sports. She has been an ambassador for the United Nations Women's organization, and has spoken out about the need for greater support and recognition for female athletes.

In addition to her sports career, Perry is also a lawyer. She completed a degree in Economic and Social Sciences from the University of Sydney, and then went on to study law at the same university. She has worked as a solicitor in a law firm, and has also worked as a commentator for cricket broadcasts.

Perry's story is an inspiration to young athletes everywhere.
